Hard to believe that only a few comments have been offered. There was a time about four years ago when I experimented with making acrylic skins (acrylic on glass, then peeled off), with the idea of using them to cut out interesting parts and join them into a composition ( which didn't work, by the way). What surprised me was how different those acrylic skins ended up after a year in my storage unit. I was surprised that one brand of acrylic shattered into thin flakes, while another stayed thick enough and flexible enough regardless of temperature extremes, and time. I invite everyone to perform their own experiment. I don't want to be sued, so I won't state the name of the worse offender.

The piece behind you is powerful. In my right house and wall in the future I would want it. There is a story to it that has my curiosity.

Seems to me that the imposter syndrome manifests itself when you have very few resources, and you are constantly trying to avoid fooling yourself by thinking that your work will become a viable income source. There's nothing inherently debilitating about entertaining self-critical doubts, as a practical matter. But, your work is uniquely yours, and your creations are born into this world solely by your hand, therefore they are creations. I guess that I'm saying that you can't stop being you, you can't not create, no matter what. So feel proud of your efforts, even if you regard them as stepping stones or learning experiences to more publically recognized and valued SOLD art.

ONE you TALK WAY TO FAST too WORDY and Flaying hands while speaking. TIME, I understand, you fell you have a lot to share. BUT IT will take me 2-3 times to know how it relates to ME ON A VERY TISSUE PAPER THIN budget. When just a child, I met Owen Gromme, a friend of Robert Bateman. Owen taught me how see more upside down. My art now free time in my mid 70's able to paint, THOUGHT of having as greeting card, Post Card, calendar, BUT TECHNOLOGY. people do not really send Cards as they use to., Wall Calendar is available on their desk top, in their phones. Post Maybe still able. BUT POST CARDS have gone up in Price, and cost to mass produce ?? Many places will not do a small number unless to do 100, 250, 500 up. My Style IS not CUTE, but close to what Wildlife habitat they Live in, instead of doing a bear and maybe some berries nearby , or cubs climbing a tree, Birds, most will just show on a tree limb, just the MALE, I like to do both even some look much alike. I skip meals to afford some art supplies With rent constantly going up, I am one step going HOMELESS. because Landlords want 2 months rent up front. which is well or close to couple thousand. So I Need to know IF THAT IS IF YOU KNOW best way, at the LOW end to have some Art PRINTS MADE? My ART I already KNOW it is NOT CONSIDERED ART in GALLERIES, but I do know Many people like wild life that is NOT SCRIBBLED IN, NOT blotched all over with colors, they want it real, but CREATED not by a Photo, but by the hand and eye. and mind to created something close to what they had seen

I have created many diverse paintings and mixed media works of art over the years. That makes it more difficult to write a CV or artist statement. I am now in the process of finishing semi-abstract and some rather realistic seascapes. In addition I am working on a large series of botanicals. I don’t think I will narrow down to one thing. Is it important for an artist to have an identifiable style? Can I have several different series and styles?

I like and comment on different interests/posts. Instagram keeps sending me pop ups saying they think I'm an automated account. I changed my password twice and even updated my profile statement. I've even ticked the I'm not a bot thing a few times. They still think I'm an automated account. I think they're upset that I keep refusing to use the app. That or Instagram has been hacked.
